Basel builts for the arts.

The fair and museum city in the border triangle has a considerable density of high-quality buildings, be it for the pharmaceutical industry, in housing constructing, school or hospital buildings. Openness and the spirit of innovation characterize the flair of the city, which may be called international like few other Swiss cities. Trading center in the border area, art depot in the agglomeration, elite stadium for the football nation, trade fair construction for the type: Basel enjoys international attention in terms of architecture.

Influential people of the public administration, as well as private investors make it possible in particular for Basel architects - both in the city and abroad - to realize important construction projects and in turn gain international recognition. In addition companies like Novartis or Vitra in neighboring Weil am Rhein relies on international names.
